SPIRITUAL
ACTIVITIES
Times
change and so does the world around us and also its ways. But
the jeeva’s (embodied soul) quest for happiness remains the
same. This is one position that does not change at all. Shri
Maharajji says that God is the sole repository of everlasting,
ever-growing and infinite Bliss and every jeeva, being the
part-entity of the same Divine Whole, has an inherent and
natural attraction for God. Whether he is aware of this causal
relationship or not is another matter but this does explain the
eternal quest of the jeeva for Bliss, Happiness, Anand.
The
Vedas enumerate three pathways of Action, Knowledge and Devotion
to this end. And Shri Maharajji explains the complete rationale
as to why the path of devotion is preferable to the other two.
The
Mission stands to pervade Shri Maharajji’s unparalleled
spiritual message through every part of the world and with this
aim in view it conducts the following useful programmes:
 |
Spiritual
discourses are organized all over the country and abroad
in which vital issues like the supreme significance of
the human body, the intriguing world of body-mind
complex, the dichotomy and interdependence of the body
and soul are given a detailed exposition by the learned
and enlightened preachers of Shri Maharajji.
|
 |
The
Mission regularly organizes Sadhana Camps of long and
short durations on specified occasions all through the
year. In these Sadhana Camps, incessant chanting of
God’s blessed names and ‘Roop Dhyan’
simultaneously go together.
|
|
 |
In
addition, easy and effective lessons in Meditation in
general and ‘Roop Dhyan’ – as emphasized by Shri
Maharajji in particular – are also imparted by the
trained instructors of the ashram. |

‘Only
good men with strong moral fibre can shape a good
world’ – is the aphoristic mantra we stress and work
on in our Motivational Classes which run parallel to our
spiritual discourses |
|
 |
Regular yoga classes are conducted in the Ashram but
with a difference. Over and above Yogasanas and
Pranayama, Yoga is inculcated as an attitude of the mind
that guides the learner in action, thought and speech.
Yoga is inculcated as an attitude of the mind that
guides the learner in notion, though and speech. The
mind is the only factor that determines spiritual
evolution. Shri Maharajji always cautions the aspirants
against the mind that plays tricks and deludes. Great
Yogis and sages of yore also confirm the same view.

While
explaining the real meaning of Yoga, Shri Maharajji often cites
the 14th Shloka from the 11th Canto, 13th
Chapter of Shrimad Bhagawat which has a very emblematic line:
This
means that ‘withdrawing the mind from all else, invest the
same in Me’. This actually is a statement of Lord Krishna made
out to Uddhav Paramhansa. The Lord is narrating as to how He
Himself explained the true meaning of Yoga in His Hansavatar as
an answer the query of the Sanakadiks and their illustrious
father Brahma.
And
because the mind has an all important, vital role to play in
spiritual evolution, our Yoga classes lay a special focus on the
mind. In fact, the mind needs being trained to keep its gaze
within because as long as it remains enticed by the worldly
glitter, it can never turn inwards.
